We said goodbye to our first gig the Spirit of Rame in the summer of 2018, going to a new club, Combwich, based in Somerset. In October we commissioned Harry Poulson of Poulson Boats, based near Looe, to build us a new gig. She will be named the Spirit of Rame after our original gig.
With increasing membership and a thriving junior section it was important that we invested in the future of the club. We were also keen to support a young local boat builder.
Thank you to everyone who have supported our various fund raising events, to date we raised almost £2000.
Tamar Valley Winter League
A new league has been established this year involving 10 local clubs. The league will be limited to GRP gigs, it is proposed to hold 5 regatta’s between December and April. So far regatta’s will be hosted by:
