The aim of all our children work is that it is the best hour of every child’s week.
Sunday Groups
St Martin in the Wood 9.15am
A group for children aged 4-12 to experience and learn more about the Christian faith using age appropriate games, Bible stories, songs and crafts, while their parents are in the church service.
St Martin in the Wood 4.00pm
Little Stars is a fun, safe environment for babies and toddlers up to the age of 2, to play and learn about God through singing, story and craft, while parents/carers attend the church@four service. A snack and drink are offered during the session and parents are able to stay too if they want.
Sparks is a group for 3 to 6 years olds, it offers a time for children to meet together to learn more about God, Jesus and the Bible, through stories, drama and small group discussion and activities. There is a snack of fruit and biscuits offered each week.
Live Wire offers a time for children aged 7-11 to learn more about God, Jesus and the Bible, through stories, drama and small group discussion and activities. Once a month Sparks and Live Wire come together for a holiday club style session with games, Bible stories, quizzes, crafts and it ends with a tea party.
Midweek Groups
Little Stars Toddler Group meets every Tuesday morning during term time at St Martin in the Wood Church, Queens Road, Chandler’s Ford. We run 2 identical sessions each week, 9.15-10.25 and 10.35-11.45. You can choose which session suits you best week by week. Each week the sessions have a story theme with craft, sensory play, snacks and singing. We have plenty of tea, coffee and cake for the grown-ups too! Sessions are £1.50 per family.
Super Stars meets fortnightly on Monday term time at 3:15-4:30pm at St Martins. It’s an after-school club for infant school aged children and their parents/carers. There is a theme each week with corresponding crafts, games, Bible stories, praying and singing. There is a snack and drink for children and cake for adults. No need to pre-book.
Praise and Play meets every Wednesday at 10am at St Boniface. It’s a service especially designed for under 5’s and their parents/carers. There are lots of activities including ringing the church bell, lighting candles, stories, crafts, singing & prayers. Afterwards there is a time for drinks, biscuits and free play for the children in the hall and teas for the adults.
Primary school assemblies
A small team go into some of the local primary schools to take a Christian assembly, based on stories from the Bible presented in a creative way with quizzes, dramas, songs and a short talk.
Holiday Club
Each Easter we invite primary age children to join us for a week of fun, games, quizzes, Bible stories, small activities craft and more. You can see below what we got up to this year in the video below. Please contact us for more information.
