This supported housing scheme is specially designed to meet the needs of adults with mild to moderate dementia.  It is situated on the Ballinderry Road, Lisburn in a quiet residential area, close to shops, local amenities and public transport.

The concept was to create a project which would incorporate a sense of community where both staff and users can be interactive, whilst allowing end user to maintain their dignity and personal identity.

Phase 1: Dementia Housing and Administration Block:

15 no. individual two bedroom bungalows in an attractive courtyard setting with an enclosed rear garden, arranged around a high quality landscaped street.

Phase 2: Dementia Apartments:

8 no. individual apartments with controlled reception area and high quality external landscaping.  The apartments have been designed for individuals requiring a higher level of support. They comprise a living, dining and kitchen area, a bedroom and a bathroom. A large shared living area is also available for all to use.

The scheme received widespread recognition & commendation from a number of awards bodies.
